Running Mechanics!
(Important differences between accelerating and top speed running)

ACCELERATING VS. TOP SPEED RUNNING TECHNIQUE

The Key to fast benefits from training is not only dependant upon the type of training, but by incorporating recovery strategies to accelerate tissue healing and the regeneration process from the physical stress of practices, games and training.

Why Jogging can be Detrimental for a Sprint Sport Athlete
(soccer, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, etc...)

Running at Sower than Sprinting Speeds(near Top Speed) for a Sprint Oriented Sporting Athlete can have a Negative Impact on having a more Explosive Stride and Movement Habits(Muscle Memory) that can Interfere with Achieving Faster Top Running Speeds.

Cleaning up the Power Clean through Progressive Exercises

Olympic exercises and the variations of these technical lifts can provide athletes tremendous gains in strength, power and pave the way for the development of complex neuromuscular motor coordination, but if an athlete is not taught properly or is unsupervised by a an expert in the specifics of olympic exercises, these exercies may not be the best source for coaches and athletes when creating programs and implementing exercises to promote the development of explosive power.
The power clean along with other olympic exercises are commonly implemented in strength and conditioning environemnts, but unfortunately, from my observations, the great intentions of the coaches implementing these exercises does not match up with the knowledge and skills these coaches need to have to properly implement these exercises in their strength and conditioning programs. If these exercises are not taught and coached frequently(even in advanced athletes), technique can breakdown.  A breakdown in technique can lead to a lack in explosive development or far worse, an athlete could be potentially  injuryed.  Here is a video of some key progressive exercises for athletes and coaches. This video will help in the understanding and promote the attainment of smooth and efficienct exercise technique, these progressions will help athletes acquire timing and control for the power clean.

Mobility

This is just awesome! Not from the just from a perspective of a young athlete performing an Olympic exercise with pretty decent technique, but it is just awesome to watch such high neural function and coordination out of such a young athlete.
Bottom-line:  A Lot of Positives going on HERE!
